GMAW (MIG) WELDING: Gas Metal Arc Welding or Wire Feed Welding, this is a versatile welding process that is relatively easy to learn. A MIG system includes a constant voltage welding power source, a wire feeder, torch, shielding gas, gas regulator, and welding wire. It is a flexible welding process suitable for many different steel and alloy materials. MIG welding is mainly used for metal parts where it is imperative to reinforce the strength of a joint.
Our 8-hour workshops are an excellent way for beginners to learn MIG welding. Using a combination of lecture (30%) and hands-on training (70%), our experienced instructors will review safety protocol, equipment setup & use, and MIG welding techniques. These one day "crash courses" will give students the knowledge and confidence needed to start experimenting and working with this relatively quick and easy metal joining process.
Our modern facility boasts 16 welding stations so each student can work independently. All equipment is well-maintained, state-of-the-art, and easy to operate. All safety equipment, tools, and welding materials are included in the price.
