What Our Students Say
The course is extremely informational and one of the best experiences I have ever had at a school. If you want to go for welding as a career, this is the place to do it.
I've had a lot of friends and family ask me what my experience was like at Arc and Flame. The best description I was able to muster up was that it was welding bootcamp. This was by far the hardest I've ever had to work in my life. Balancing school and work was another task in itself. But, when it was my turn to walk up, shake everyone's hands, and grab my certificate, it was the first time I was truly proud of myself.
From a mathematical and logical standpoint, the long-term financial gain from a short term trade school is unbeatable in comparison to almost any other career.
The reading, lectures and physical hands on time was great especially for me because I struggled with reading comprehension in the past. The resume class and practice interviews helped a lot! It was great to talk to someone we already know to prepare us as well as the local companies that came in and gave presentations. These experiences prepared me even on impromptu interviews- I brought all of my gear with me and was ready for the challenge!
I thought I would just be welding in this course, but I got so much more information with the blue printing, resume building and team building lessons. I learned from everything that was taught in this program because there was literally no useless information- everything had a purpose.
Dennis is doing very well at Gorbel in Victor, NY. In just a few months, he has moved up a position and is currently making a great salary. Dennis will be purchasing his first home (at 19) in November. As a mom, I cannot thank you enough for giving my son some real world skills. Thanks!
I got employed right after graduating for Brown-Campbell, a company located in South Carolina. The company makes grate steps for stadiums, sewers and fire escapes. It’s a great job and I’m getting about 50+ hours a week. I am very grateful to have taken this program and to have learned from Kevin and Kate. Without them I would not be where I am today.
From the first day on the job, I felt I was more than prepared to handle the tasks at hand.
I went through the BOCES WEMOCO welding course and then decided to continue my education at Arc + Flame. In this program, you have your own booth and a lot of space to excel as a student. The facility is clean and there is a great sense of being part of a team. Students will get frustrated, but the Arc + Flame faculty is dedicated to making you try hard and really learn this discipline
I owned a bar business but wanted to look for a more stable job. I found the Career Welding & Fabrication program online and figured I would call the facility to see what it was all about. After completing this program I started my own welding business and haven't looked back! It's a great course with plenty of challenging projects.
I'm writing this letter to let you know how very pleased we are with your welding & fabrication program. Everything you've told us about the program and much more have come true. The welding program has been a great experience for our son Nick. Your teaching staff, in depth study program, on hands training & testing, have given Nick the confidence he needs to succeed & be successful in todays job market
I think it's great how you offer your graduate students the open door policy to come back anytime they would like to work on projects outside the program. What a great extra for the students to have. Also how companies from all over come into Mahany Welding, approaching you & your students looking for welders & fabricators from your program. It's sort of like having your own job fair. Nick has already had two job offers! Once again, I'd like to thank you and your staff for everything.
