Discover the art of blacksmithing in this hands-on sampler class, where you'll forge a railroad spike into your own handcrafted knife. You'll learn proper forge safety, how to heat and control steel in the fire, and essential hammering techniques used to draw out, taper, and shape metal on the anvil. As your project takes shape, you'll also be introduced to basic grinding, heat treating, tempering, and sharpening techniques that bring your knife to its finished form. At the end of the class, you'll leave with a functional railroad spike knife that you forged yourself, along with the foundational skills and confidence to continue exploring the craft of blacksmithing.

All safety equipment, tools, & materials are included.
