Get trained, and get working! This "boot camp" style course provides accepted students the opportunity to learn skills required for entry level employment in welding. Welders are in demand in countless industries. Decades of few new workers entering the trades have left vocations like welding with an aging workforce and shortage of qualified people. The Rochester Arc + Flame has partnered with Monroe Community College to offer a Certificate program to help Rochester area workers get the relevant training they need to get jobs in the exciting and rewarding field of welding.

Welding & Fabrication Program

HANDS-ON learning and working that features a shorter time period than traditional college, less student loan debt, and opportunity to join the workforce in under a year! The program features a 450-hour course focused on learning the fundamentals of fabrication, and MIG, TIG, Flux Core and Stick welding processes. Curriculum combines a rigorous amount of hands-on learning, academic lectures, written and online assignments, quizzes and tests, collaborative group projects and print reading. Students also take a 10-hour OSHA training session and classes in resume writing, interviewing and mathematics. The program has two DAYTIME options (20-week program) and a NIGHT course (40-week program). Both formats feature identical curriculum and tuition costs. The DAYTIME programs run from September to January, and NIGHT program runs from August to June.
