Students must be at least 16 years of age to participate in most courses and must have a signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian prior to the start of the class.

For students ages 13 – 15 years old, please contact us at 585-349-7110 to discuss class opportunities.

Most courses are not appropriate for students ages 12 years old and younger.

Safety is our number one concern at Rochester Arc + Flame Center. Please contact us at 585-349-7110 before registering for classes., If you have any concerns pertaining to your hearing, vision, hand dexterity, or mental health, or any other disability that would impact your ability to participate in class.

  • Boots or leather shoes that cover the entire foot
  • Full length jeans that cover the entire leg and ankle
  • T-shirt (cotton or nonflammable material)

For your safety, failure to comply with this attire may result in being unable to participate in the class. Thank you for your cooperation & understanding!

  • No refunds or credits are provided to students who cancel within 48 hours of their class or who are a no call/ no show
  • 14 or more days’ notice of the class date: Option of a refund (minus a $20 processing fee) or class credit for the full amount
  • 2 – 13 days’ notice of the class date: Class credit for the full amount
  • Less than 2 days’ notice of the class date: No refund and no class credit

Welded Metal Sculpture Date Night (4 Hours)

PRICE IS PER COUPLE. Join us for a unique evening where you & your partner can express your creativity and work together to create a magnificent metal sculpture. Learning & applying the techniques of MIG Welding & Plasma Cutting, students will choose from a variety of scrap metals and hardware to fill in a premade silhouette. By the end of class, you will have a beautiful keepsake for your home or garden. This is an experience you will be sure to remember for many years!

Couples will have the choice between a Heart Sculpture, Butterfly Sculpture, or Circular Sculpture (which can be turned into a dream catcher, a soccer ball, or used as a frame for your creative design!) Seasonal sculptures will also be available including a football, pumpkin, Christmas tree and more!

Our experienced instructors will use a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on instruction to enhance your learning experience. These classes are fun for beginners and experienced welders!

All safety equipment, tools, and materials are included in the course price.

So much fun!

My husband and I did the welding date night for Valentine's day. It was so much fun being creative together and learning something new. I was scared at first but the instructor taught us exactly what to do, and what not to do! Our sculpture is a beautiful reminder of a fun night connecting.

Welding Date Night
