ATTENTION: Students must be AT LEAST 16-years of age to attend any recreational class at our facility, unless otherwise specified.

Students are required to wear boots or sneakers that cover their whole foot, jeans or long pants that cover your whole leg & ankle, and a t-shirt that covers their shoudlers.

Please do not wear flammable materials such as Nylon or Synthetics.

Please do not wear sandals, crocks, open toed shoes, shorts, or dresses.

For the safety of our students and teachers, failure to comply may result in being unable to participate in the class. 

Glass Flameworking Specialty Sampler

EVERYTHING NEEDED FOR CLASS IS INCLUDED IN PRICE

The Rochester Arc + Flame’s Specialty Sampler class is a wonderful way to create glass objects and add them to ornamental pieces such as magnets, garden stakes, or jewelry. Using borosilicate glass and flame, students will create up to 3 glass pieces. You will learn skills such as lighting the torch, adjusting the flame, stretching, gathering, cutting, & fusing boro glass rods. Students can choose from a wide variety of colors and use their own creativity to personalize their designs.

Our experienced instructors will use a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on instruction to enhance your learning experience. All safety equipment and glass materials are included in the course price. This class is great for beginners and experienced flame workers!

NOTE: Because glass pieces must anneal to avoid damage, class projects will be ready for pickup within 1 week after the class.
