Cuff Bracelet with Mark Thone: Bend and shape metal into a wearable cuff bracelet. Use hammers and stamps to texture the copper. This is a good hands-on exercise in basic metal forming. (Open to all levels)
Earrings with Mark Thone: Cut, stamp, and shape pieces of metal to make a set of earrings. Bend your own silver ear hooks to wear them. We will go over basic metalsmithing techniques that can be done anywhere with a few tools. (Open to all levels)
Shield Ring with Mark Thone: Create your own wide band ring, while also working on basic metalsmithing skills. We will cut out a brass ring shape with the jewelers saw and flat sheet metal. We'll use hammers to texture the metal into a rugged style, then shape the ring itself and solder shut. Finally, we will polish the brass for a clean finish. (Open to all levels)
Pierced Pendant with Mark Thone: This is a good intro in how to pierce and cut metal, using the exercise to make a wearable pendant. We use fine blades with a hand saw to cut out shapes, and rivets to make a movable bail to hang it from. (Open to all levels)
