Cool as Sheet (Copper): Discover the art of chasing in this copper chasing class. Students will learn how to create basic patterns in the surface of copper sheet using a variety of tools. Unlike engraving, where metal is removed, chasing displaces but preserves the metal. (Open to all levels)
Fold Forming - This is about following what the metal likes to do, rather than forcing a specific form upon it. The concept was developed by Charles Lewton-Brain as a result of his time spent with Klaus Ulrich in Germany. This new system emphasizes creating forms by using the metals own characteristics to achieve naturally beautiful elements rapidly. (Open to all levels)
(NOTE: Above are examples of various topics offered, however each class focuses on only one. The topic of each class is listed with the corresponding date.)
