Blacksmithing Workshop: Father's Day

NOTE: Students under the age of 16 MUST contact Arc + Flame Blacksmithing Director (Candace Martens) for an evaluation prior to enrolling in a smithing class. Father's Day RR Spike KnifeLearn to create a cool conversation piece out of a RR spike by hot forging. The class will go over the basic operations of creating a knife with a twisted handle. Students will start with forming the spike to the proper dimensions, shape the blade and then add a decorative twist to the handle. (Open to all levels)

Note: This is a very physically and mentally demanding class final finish will depend on student's ability.

Do NOT wear flip-flops, open toed shoes or highly flammable clothing.   • Sunday, June 18th: RR Spike Knife (1pm-5pm) (Instructor: Jon Kelley)

Class Details: 

  • 4-hour class period: 8:00am-12:00N or 1:00pm-5:00pm
  • Enrollment: 4 to 10 students
  • Experience required: None
